FreyBear Cottage

FreyBear Lakefront is where modern design meets the raw, untamed beauty of Lake Huron. Just ten minutes from Tobermory, this newly built retreat is set along the rugged shoreline of the Bruce Peninsula — offering a private escape that feels both elevated and deeply connected to nature.

From the moment you arrive, the space opens up around you. Vaulted ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows draw the lake into every corner, filling the home with light and uninterrupted views of the water. Designed for gathering, the open-concept layout brings everyone together with ease — whether it’s slow mornings with coffee in hand, shared meals from the fully equipped kitchen, or evenings spent unwinding by the fire. With space for up to 8 adults and 2 children, it’s a place that balances connection with comfort.

Outside, the experience shifts fully to the water. A private dock stretches into the lake, inviting early morning paddles, afternoon swims, and quiet moments with nothing but the sound of waves. Days are spent moving between the shoreline and the deck — soaking in the hot tub, laying in the sun, or heading out with kayaks, paddle boards, and the canoe to explore the coast at your own pace.

As the day winds down, FreyBear settles into something slower. Dinner on the deck, the sky shifting over the water, and a stillness that only comes with being this close to nature. And when night falls, the stars take over — clear, expansive, and uninterrupted.

At FreyBear Lakefront, the experience is equal parts adventure and retreat — a place to explore, to unwind, and to fully take in the rhythm of the lake.
